Results

 

Established process parameters from conventional 2D culture systems can be readily adapted to 3D microcarrier-based workflows, enabling seamless process transfer and scale-up for large-scale viral vector manufacturing.


A stepwise scale-up strategy from N-1 to N production phase demonstrates efficient and reproducible cell expansion in stainless steel bioreactor systems. 

Cell density increases progressively across phases, achieving a peak density of approximately 6.6 × 10⁶ cells/mL, while maintaining stable growth kinetics throughout the scale-up process.


       

Enhanced Viral Titer (Virus A)
The 3D TableTrix™ microcarrier platform consistently delivers higher viral titers compared to conventional 2D culture, achieving approximately ~7.0–7.3 log CCID₅₀/mL, versus ~5.1 log CCID₅₀/mL in 2D systems, demonstrating a substantial improvement in production efficiency.  

Stable and reproducible output
viral production remains stable across the culture duration, with minimal fluctuation in titer, indicating robust process consistency under dynamic culture conditions.

 

Continuous multi-stage scale-up and subculture of Vero cells can be effectively achieved using the 3D TableTrix™ microcarrier platform, reaching peak cell densities of up to 1 × 10⁷ cells/mL in cell culture systems. 

Viral titer and overall production efficiency from cells cultured on 3D TableTrix™ microcarriers are significantly enhanced compared to conventional 2D planar cultures and traditional spherical microcarrier systems, demonstrating clear advantages in both productivity and scalability.
